It's really strange showing up at Wal-Mart to get your hair cut and realizing the girl who will be doing your hair is someone you went to high school with, albeit a few years behind you.
She asked me about my cousin Justin, the one in a band who spent last summer playing music on a cruise ship, and mentioned that she and her friends all had crushes on him. Again, weird, because you know the kid who plays the Mac in the Mac/PC commercials? That would be his closest celebrity resemblance, I've always thought. (It's not all THAT close but I think a lot of that is that they seem like they have the same personality.)
But I had a haircut and a dye job, and I bought a pretty dress and new flip flops, and I also bought a two-pound bag of Hershey Kisses. I completely thought I was insane for buying the damn chocolate until I thought about it and realized that in about a week or so I'm going to worship that thing as my new god.
Note to self: I have to write het for
medie when I get back from the church picnic tonight. Yes, that het, the shmoopy one that's been sitting in your brain since last night.
