I promised medie Dean/Jess het, so. A drabble set in the Across the Universe 'verse, 'cause I'm feeling shmoopy. :)

They argue about the name for weeks when they find out. He wakes up from nightmares that might not be nightmares at all, where he tells Sam and Sam can’t stop laughing at him. Dean doesn’t want to tell Daniel but it slips out over breakfast, and Daniel’s so excited he’s sure his first daddy would approve.

At night Jess presses her cold feet against his under the covers, digs her fingers into his ribs and tells him, “It’s a good thing, you idiot.”

And when Samantha Jane Winchester is finally born, squalling and tiny and perfect, he believes her.
