DONNA! Donna, who knows the Doctor needs someone around to smack him upside the head. I mean, I love Rose and Martha, but I adore that Donna's older and not in love with him and less likely to take his shit. Rose and Martha had their not-taking-your-shit moments, but I can't see Donna taking the Doctor's crap without an argument, or at the very least a good solid slap.

Also, the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie poster. I can't believe I feel the violent need to hit a Hollywood movie executive when I don't even LIKE Alvin and the Chipmunks.

I have to send my laptop in so that they can fix my USB ports. Hmm, maybe I should take the gay porn off it. You think? (I love the fact that my entire lack of subtlety means I've got "Porn folder" labeled just like that on my desktop, have let my relatives use my laptop, and none of them have bothered batting an eyelash. Heh.)

I think my Donna love is helped because I didn't see the Christmas special until last night after I found out about the companion announcement. I mean, yeah, she was annoying in the beginning of the episode, but she learned her lesson (after all that, she'd better have). And she denied him when he asked her if she wanted to come with, which shows a level of maturity and understanding way beyond people give her credit for. I mean, going with the Doctor is hard, and there's a difference between saying yes when you're a dazed and dazzled young woman in her early twenties and saying no when you're a woman who's a few years older.

Plus, after Rose and Martha, the Doctor needs a companion like Donna. I love them both, but they really did kind of idolize the guy most of the time. He needs someone around after those two to knock him down a peg.
