I'm not the only one who's completely apathetic in regards to Order of the Phoenix, right?

Not that I would turn down a trip to the movies to see it or anything if someone else were going to pay ('cause God knows I can't afford it right now), but I'm fine if I don't even see it until it comes out on DVD. Or at all, really.

And I'm way more interested in the oncoming wank of the Potterdammerung (best word EVER) than I am in the final book, but I'm know I'm not the only one in that regard.

*****

I really need to get a part-time job. This whole not-having-any-cash thing is getting ludicrous, not to mention the fact the it's the only way I'm going to get to go to Wincon at this rate and I don't want to have to give up on the only vacation I'd get all goddamn year because I have no damn money.

*sigh*

I hate being poor. Worse, I hate thinking of it as "being poor," because at the very least I've got food and a roof over my head so I've got not half as much room to complain as a lot of people, and yet.

One of the people from MTAC was asking around about people wanting to see OotP in Nashville (originally asking if people wanted to see the IMAX version before finding out that it was already sold out). The only reason I would've been interested, in that case, was just to do something to get out of the house for a while. But, since I had to work, there's a good chance I'll never see the movie, and I don't really care.

As it is, the only ones that turned out among the people she asked were herself and her husband, so it would've been awkward if I'd tagged along...

I haven't seen a Potter film in the cinema since the music to the first one nearly blew my ears out. /cranky

They've all been much more enjoyable on DVD, and it's not like I have to avoid spoilers!

I'm on the same page as you with regards to HP stuff. I'm not sure I want to bother seeing the movie in theaters either. But I'm very excited for the book!

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I don't care about OotP and I've informed my friends that I won't be heading to Borders on Book Day because--well, I'm broke, and I'm not squeezing the money out to purchase something I just can't bring myself to care about.

Now, blowing $10 on paperback Victorian mysteries at the used bookstore? I can get behind that.

It's all over the phone. You can sit around n your pj's and revel in the fact that you're being paid for your moral flexibility.

(p.s - You could always move to Texas anyway, hee-hee. That's where all the best lookin' men come from as is. I live in San Antonio - we breed Padalecki's here. It's like ground zero for hotness :)

I'm with you there. I personally don't really want to see anymore of the movies, cuz Danny Radcliffe is just NOT HARRY. Period.
But a friend of mine is feeling lonely so I'm gonna go with her anyway so. *shrug*

P.S. I hate being poor, and also thinking it of it as "being poor." So sometimes I think of Ron Weasley and feel marginally better, but then again, he's got magic. *grumble*

You Are Not Alone.

OOtP was my least favourite book—it was a sprawling mess—and the movies tend to be even messier than the books in terms of what they keep and what they cut out. I am looking forward to the Potterdamerung though.

Poverty blows.

You're definitely not alone. I haven't enjoyed any of the movies, and I think the only time an actor *wasn't* mugging it up/phoning it in was Kenneth Branagh in Chamber of Secrets. And possibly Jason Isaacs.

You're actually not the only one on either point. I haven't got round to reading OotP, and I don't much care whether I see the movie before or after. I finally wound up seeing GoF on TV about two months ago.

And the Potterdammerung promises to be entertaining even from the remote fringes. While I'll get around to the last three books...eventually.

I'm planning on seeing the movie tonight the excitement I felt before movie 3 and 4 is gone. Basically, not going out of my way to see the movie. The only reason I want to see it on a work night is I'm hoping fewer kids will be in the audience.

I'm just...so uninterested in the Harry Potter franchise. I feel like people are going to lock me away for being abnormal, but...I just don't care about the books, the movies, anything.

Seriously, I couldn't care less about the new movie OR the new book. But yes, looking forward to the wank. *g*

I can't be arsed with harry potter either, but I'm waiting eagerly for the wank to end all wanks. I've got popcorn, want some?

You're definitely not the only one. Up until yesterday, I thought it was coming out on Friday. I really don't care; I never particularly liked the movies (though the last two are much better than the first two) and OOTP is my least favourite of the books.

If I'm remembering correctly, OotP was where Jo completely lost me. Not that I'd been totally invested in the series before, but I got the books in the first week and rushed to see the movies on the first day. I think I stopped reading OotP when they were all still on the train to Hogwarts, which goes to show just how quickly I got both bored and annoyed.
