Off to the movies ...
Nov. 15th, 2003 07:18 pm... and Russell Crowe? Ooo. This is soooo the first time I've ever found him sexy.
And Jennifer Connelly can so totally kiss my itty bitty ass. She gets to be talented, beautiful, and married to a guy like Paul Bettany? If it's all the same to anyone else, I'm calling in the fairness police on a monopoly violation.
Incredibly fun movie. Not as big on the action as the promos suggest, but that's a good thing. Adored the little kid character, and Pullings? Yum.
Russell Crowe did an amazing job as the captain and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he gets nominated for an Oscar, but I notice the stupidest crap. Like when he finally lets his hair down. Good gracious Jesus in a hunting cap and welder's gloves, he's got pretty, pretty hair. For a while there, it was like Herbal Essences trying to make a "Pirates of the Caribbean"-themed commercial. I think I deserve some sort of medal for not racing for the front of the theater and lovingly petting the screen.

Oh, yeah, and I saw the "Hidalgo" trailer again. Ah, Viggo always does "a boy and his horse" love stories so well, like with Aragorn and his steed in LOTR or Viggo and Gwyneth Paltrow in "A Perfect Murder".
Ick. I'm two Smirnoffs down. Words are hard. *user pokes her keyboard with a stick, and types about as well*

Apparently purists who've read all the Patrick O'Brien books are cranky because they don't follow the plot of the first book religiously, but screw them. They can go read the book again.
