Yay, money!
Aug. 9th, 2007 04:10 pmPaychecks are awesome. Particularly when they lead to grocery shopping. Not a lot of grocery shopping, mind you, but enough to make me happy. I'm making chicken jambalaya right now. *happy sigh*
What I really want to make, though, is this. As soon as I heard about that from last night's episode of Top Chef I couldn't stop my stomach rumbling. I can't afford to make them but ... oh, man. *stomach rumbles*
Speaking of which!
It's really goddamn annoying to me how Howie can go from doing something cool to being a total asshat at the drop of a hat. And when he said that thing about a good leader not having to be liked, I wanted to throttle him. I just ... that attitude in reality show contestants really pisses me right the hell off. No, you're not "here to make friends." You ARE there to play a game. But guess what? Some people can do both at the same time! No, really! Some people can be competitive AND nice! It's actually not that damn complicated.
Howie has been in the bottom of every team challenge they've had so far. Why the hell hasn't it sunk into his sweaty hairless skull that maybe his brilliant "you don't have to like me, you just have to listen to me" plan DOESN'T ACTUALLY WORK.
Having said all that, I haven't laughed as hard this entire season as I did when they cut from everybody running around their roach coaches frantically trying to come up with recipes to Dale saying to the guest judge, "Here, I'll hold the limo door open." HEE. That's my Dale. :)
In other news, tomorrow's the start of my week and a half off. Twelve straight days to myself. \o/

Date: 2007-08-10 08:57 am (UTC)I just had to vent. I think this is the first time I've ever been furious with the judges.
