I couldn't figure out how to do that one, for several reasons:

1. With Tolkien's elves, sex = marriage. There is no such thing as premarital sex, because just by having sex, the two have gotten married.

2. With Tolkien's elves, marriage lasts forever. Really forever. As in, if an elf dies in battle, the widow or widower is STILL married. This is because the souls of elves go to the Halls of Mandos after they die, and have the option of remaining there or being reincarnated on Arda. Yes, the marriage bond carries through to the next incarnation.

3. Elves can tell by looking who has been faithful to his or her spouse and who has not.

4. Galadriel is married to Celeborn, and has been since the beginning of the First Age--6,471 years before the War of the Ring in the Third Age.

5. Oz is a werewolf. Granted, the werewolves of Middle-Earth are very different from Oz(Middle-Earth werewolves are the bodies of wolves animated by evil spirits), but Galadriel would certainly know that werewolves were created by Sauron to be servants of Morgoth.

I probably spent way too much thinking about this pairing. I considered it, but I couldn't figure out how to overcome all these obstacles. Hope you can. ::smile:: Good luck.

Thanks, and I have a few ideas, not so much for overcoming as for just keeping them in mind while I write it. I mean, they need to be in a loving relationship. Loving relationship does not equal teh sex, which means I have some wiggle room there.

(as for Celeborn, I'm debating about where I'm going to put him. Either the Grey Havens, or somewhere else in the world). And yeah, werewolfs were the servants of Morgoth, but in a wolf post-Sauron's defeat and demise, and Morgoth still being trapped outside of Ea, that means that not all werewolves are the same.

That's just a few of the ideas I had to use when writing, without making everything terribly OOC.
