Because I signed up for overtime tonight and tomorrow night.

*sigh*

And to make things worse, I'm so desperate for cash I signed up to work overtime in an entirely different section of the factory than I usually work. I actually like working overtime in my own section -- the job's not so bad and the people are okay -- but the only available overtime for this week was in the packing section where the parolees, drug addicts, and non-English-speaking workers are employed. I can't even walk through that section anymore without being creeped out, so spending twenty-four of the next forty-eight hours there? ARGH. (The only problem with the non-English-speaking employees is that it's no fun working twelve hours with people you can't talk to, whereas most of the people who do speak English in that section, you wouldn't want speaking to you at all. EVER.)

So of course my brain would start throwing plotbunnies at me and wanting me to work on the NaNo plotting right now. DUH.

Urgh. I have to go return a crapload of library books now.

I can't write a damn thing unless I've got something I should be doing instead. This would explain why my output's been less than stellar since I stopped being in school.

I swear, the worst thing about plot bunnies is that they chose the worst times to come. They can't wait until you're at a computer or a desk or anything, they wait until you're falling asleep or at work or in class or somewhere else where you can't really do anything about it. Lame.

Also? This has nothing at all to do with your post but I know you're short on money and I think I remember you saying you didn't think you were gonna be able to make it to WinCon this year (that saddens me in many ways, BTW) so I thought you'd like to know that others who can't make it seem to be selling their tickets so that they don't take a $65 hit along with not being able to go.

I'm just gonna go back to not writing my Remix now.

Am I the only reader here who wants to start up a "Let TP not starve for a month or so" fund?

That's always the way. I tend to get them at work; then forget them by the time I go to write them down.
