I knew that was going to come back to bite him in the ass.

I never really got around to throwing away Otis's bedraggled, torn-apart, well-used stuffed cow because ... well, he liked the damn thing. It usually made its first appearance of the day when I went to feed him, as Otis has the habit of leaving him sitting in the empty food dish. I don't know why. It either means, "Look, even my cow is hungry!" or, "If you don't feed me soon, I eat the cow!" It could go either way.

But I think that explains what I found when I woke up today, 'cause sometimes I walk into the kitchen and instead find the cow in the matching water dish, soaking wet and looking practically black. Anyway, I get up this afternoon and groggily stumble into the bathroom, and peer into the toilet for a long minute trying to figure out what I'm looking at.

Otis threw the cow in the toilet bowl, that's what I'm looking at it.

Of course, I should have thrown out Marinetti's favourite ratty toy, but I didn't 'cause he liked it. And then it killed my vacuum cleaner.

You keep the toilet lid up? Oh, I hate to laugh, but if Otis has any interest in water at all, that cow was so getting dunked.

Meg has drowned her toys in the water fountain, become an excellent toilet flusher and I think that she may be the exception to all of those cats hate water. She loves water, she will join me in the shower (even when I do not want her there), she loves the water. She is an odd cat. She has also discovered this week that drowning her feathered toys leads to not so feathery toys to play with when they dry out. They wilt a bit. She is a confused cat. Poor kitty.

Heh. Usually I don't but I was so exhausted when I came home today I forgot. :)

And usually he doesn't go anywhere near the toilet, really, Well, unless I'm on it, and then suddenly he decides he wants to be petted and loved and hugged RIGHT THIS MINUTE OMG HOLD ME MOMMY.

My friend and her husband have trained their cat to use the toilet.

Okay, well, he poops next to the toilet, but he pees in it. They want to hook up an automatic toilet flusher.
