In other words, the entire left side of my mouth is numb and there's a wad of gauze where my broken wisdom tooth used to be.

So, yeah. I had my brother call into work to tell them I can't come in, and now I am going to stay home and watch the Monday night lineup on NBC (again, \o/) and write Luke/Noah smut. All of this is also good because I had about three hours of sleep in the past twenty-four hours and I'm kinda useless anyway right now.

I think I spooked the dentist, though, because when he yanked the tooth out and put it on the tray I kept making noise and he thought it was gross-out noises because of all the blood when it was really, "HA! Pulled teeth really do look like that!" noises. Yeah, my high tolerance for gore is still alive and kicking. :)

Now if you'll excuse me I have to go buy soft food and something that's not Pepsi to drink. *sigh*

It's funny - I'm actually incredibly scared of the dentist, and very scared of the pain, but pulled out teeth don't gross me out at all. I love how they look! Was the broken one more interesting?

Well, the last time one of my teeth came out it was a baby tooth, so I really didn't get to see the whole root or anything. So this was the first one I've ever seen with that big long root attached. I was so busy going, "Wow, cooool!" that I didn't even get a good look at the broken hole in it before they took it away. *grumbles*

I got my wisdom teeth out and didn't even fill the pain pill prescription they gave me. Just...didn't hurt.

Heh - when I had mine out, I was all, "Make sure you save me my teeth!" and then I was horrimused by the fact that I got a bunch of little teeth pieces, as they had to crack them apart to scrape them out. Heee, teeth! Good luck with your recovery! (And by recovery, I mean porn.)
