The corner in Peter's painting?

You're standing between Jefferson Park and the river, on the far side of the park in the opposite direction from the farmer's market, facing the church. Yes? When I was there it was this bar/restaurant where I got this awesome tasty HUMONGOUS roast beef sandwich for five bucks.

In other words ... Peter's got the wrong damn city. Not that I blame him for getting it wrong what with the evidence, but still.

Seriously. I mean, I don't think it's that illogical a conclusion for Peter to make what with the plane ticket and all, but I was yelling, "No, Peter, lower," at the TV. :)

For the same reason he had his passport I think. The night he exploded, he and Claire were planning to leave the country.

I don't recall them planning to leave the country...I thought Peter, Ted, and Claire were just trying to leave New York to avoid either being the explosion or being in the explosion.

At any rate, it's been four months since that day. So even if that is the case, I doubt he carried a passport and tickets from then around for four months.

Hee, I actually speculated out loud to Mom when the painting was shown that it was NOLA... (Because that would fit the show's MO of making people gradually all run into each other in a handful of cities.)

I was so hoping you were right, but actually it is Montreal. They're at the corner of Blvd Saint-Laurent and Rue Saint-Jacques — except Peter the artist can't spell, and so it says Rue Saint-Jaque. The church that's catty-corner from them is the Basilique Notre-Dame.

... I am totally going down there to take pictures tomorrow. I would have gone today but for the rain. ;)

It would be neat to see Peter in New Orleans, though - with Sylar de-powered, and Hiro in the past, Monica is probably the next most powerful Hero, and the two of them operating in the same arena would be fun! :)
