Do you like Raoul? I think I did at first, now he (it) just feels like an excuse for Demian to waste space. Always with the fucking GORE.

Yeah, I loved Demian so much last season, but this season he just isn't very good at all. He's fallen into the trap Drunken Bee was in in the first place - not liking the show enough to care about good recaps, but not hating it enough to make it funny in that way.

Of course, I think TWOP has a lot of problems in general this season because they sold out to Bravo. No more Doctor Who, that annoying-as-hell new front page, weecaps... :/

Thank you! THANK YOU! Ok, you don't know me, I pretty much lurk due to chronic shyness, but I love your stories, and now I have found a kindred spirit in annoyance with TWOP's treatment of Supernatural this year.

I've always hated Raoul (I voted to that effect in a poll on the forum, unfortunately everyone else seemed to love him), and last year most of the recaps seemed to consist of unfunny Raoul moments which I had to scroll past. I mean, we all wanted Demian because Drunken Bee was pretty clueless - my breaking point was during her recap of Faith, when the doctor called Sam "Mr Berkowitz" and she asked if this was a Jewish joke. Seriously. She seriously had never heard of David Berkowitz, the Son of Sam. I'm not even American and I've heard of the guy. However, Demian has turned out even worse. I have this theory, that after a few seasons, the TWOP recappers and posters decide they dislike a show and its direction, and change their opinions accordingly (see Buffy and Angel).

I just can't see what's so terribly wrong with Supernatural this season, and I couldn't see it last season either - I loved both Croatoan and Hunted, while acknowledging that they have weak spots, and I've enjoyed all of the eps in Season 3. I can't even read the recaps anymore, or the forum: I just go to the recap page, vote for the ep, and visit the ratings thread. Even the joy of the media thread has been ruined for me, because this week they were nitpicking a line of Dean's in the director's cut. One jokey line. I'm just . . . almost speechless at this point.

Sorry for the tl;dr on your journal, it's just refreshing to see that I'm not the only one thinking this way, and I can't express it on the boards as it's not allowed (rolls eyes).
