apocalypsos: (cute woobie gay boys)

-- My mom called during that first scene on ATWT with my two favorite fictional gay boys in the whole wide world. ARGH.

-- Tim Kring knows what's wrong with this season of Heroes. And he's working on fixing it. Oh, thank God. This article pretty much addresses every major concern I've seen for this season, which is great. See? Complaining about a show CAN get results. \o/ (Meanwhile, I'm starting to feel like the only person who likes this season of SPN just fine the way it is. *sighs*)

-- I really want to go to Panera but I don't get paid until tomorrow. *headdesk*

-- And now some asshat is revving his fucking engine outside my window. *growls*

-- I think I may skip out on writing for the rest of today just to clean my apartment. At least that way I'll feel like I'm accomplishing something.

-- Oh, my God, these two are killing me. Bumming around Europe?! Oh, my God, if I could bullshit Europe to my own satisfaction I would totally ... uh, stare at the computer and wish I could write that story? Man, this writer's block is starting to HURT. *cries*

You're not alone in being pleased with this season's SPN. I think all the episodes have been quite good up to this point. I don't understand all the negativity I've been reading about this season. Dean is going to hell and he doesn't believe there's a way to stop it, so he's basically behaving like a person with terminal illness. He's not going to act like season one Dean. If he did, that would be a problem.

I also like this season of SPN, but I haven't seen any of the other seasons in full.

Nope, you're definitely not alone. Except for a week of worrying after the pilot aired, I'm quite liking what I see so far. And it's funny you should mention that, because I got the impression that most people were quite happy with S3. But that could very well be selective reading/memory on my part, LOL!

I seriously hope that means Kring's decided to give West the boot. I'm usually the last on the "I hate Character X" bandwagon, but I just can't *stand* that kid. At least Yaeko had some spirit.

From: [identity profile] apocalypsos.livejournal.com
Dude, at least Yaeko doesn't make my skin crawl. Frankly, I don't think they let Yaeko do enough (she supposedly can wield a sword but apparently as long as a man is there she doesn't have to do anything but fawn all over them ... *eye roll*), while they let West get away with WAAAAY too much. He's so skeevy. I keep trying to see what supposedly makes him so hot and I'm coming up with nothin'.

Oh fuck no. He did not just pull out the trusty old comic book, "We can't write interesting romances for shit so no romances at all" line, did he? It's like Joey Q dissing MJ all over again just because they can't write decent married relationships. Someone call BKV, please? *facepalm*

But I do agree, West blows and is kinda really evil and nasty. Claire has shit taste in boys and should hook up with Monica instead.

I think people are put-off by this seasons SPN because we're finally getting some meta-movement and natural consequences of their actions in the second season. I mean, fuck, after what happened with Dean and Sam and the deal it's only understandable that they'd want to spend some time apart, and frankly, it's obviously just setting it up to play out some conflict with Sam of Being King Of The Demons On Earth vs Doing The Right Thing By His Brother. I mean, when Dean finds out about Ruby? He's going to be pissed. But yeah. I think the reason people are whinging is because omg, hay, look, a different relationship dynamic that doesn't involve them getting into each other's pants space all the time. And I'm cool with that, because I have no doubt it will culminate in something mindblowing and getting-into-pantsy awesome at the end. :D

Um actually the main reason I'm not liking season 3 is because it's not scary anymore and they have Ruby showing up and saving the day and it killed the dramatic tension in 2 episodes. She's nothing but a plot device right now and the episodes with 2 exceptions have been boring and not scary and we don't even get to see Sam and Dean working together which would make up for a lackluster plot.

I thought Dean already knew about Ruby. I remember them having an argument over how Sam shouldn't trust her and Sam saying he's just using her.

Meh. I like that the guys are getting some time apart because...DUDE. they live together 24/7, they're going to NEED alone time every so often, i mean, come on! i cant even handle an 8 hour drive with my parents without going stir crazy from them.

I'm really enjoying SPN this season, personally.

I am also hoping Kring's statements mean West will die a fiery painful lingering death. Ahem.

West is the worst instigator of the "Flames ... coming out of my face!" feeling that I've ever seen on this show. Hate the actor, hate the character, haaaaaate the fact that he's spent the entire season pursuing her only to turn on her this last episode when he found out about her dad and was all, "You tricked me!" Bwuh? You stalked HER, idiot.

i do agree with a lot of what he's saying (West and not giving us the end of the world threat sooner and dear god did i miss the cool heroes cliffhangers) but i liked hiro's japan adventures and his love story and the rookies (esp monica. finally, black people get some cool plot and aren't killed off off screen!) ;)

all in all, i'm glad he's actually listening to the fans and the show will get better (cause this week's episode kicked ass, it was like old school heroes all over again) :)

See, I liked Hiro in Japan, I just think it went on past the point of being interesting. If they would have condensed it down to three or four episodes long, it would have squeezed all of the important points in and shaved off the excess baggage in the storyline. And my main problem with his love story with Yaeko was that they made her out to be someone who could take care of herself in the beginning of the storyline and then proceeded to spend the entire adventure latching her on to either Hiro or Kensei. She had this great potential to kick a little ass and they didn't even do anything with it.

As for the rookies, I think he shouldn't drag Monica (who is a faaaabulous character and possibly my new favorite) into the mess that is Maya and Alejandro. That storyline is a disaster area, while Monica is one of the most likable characters they've got right now.

if sylar hadn't joined up with maya and alejandro i could really have cared less about their story but i really enjoy him playing headgames with maya and where that could lead

but yeah, if not for that i wouldn't care

monica love for the win! somebody getting cool powers and actually enjoying them and not being all emo! wow! :)

I love the the third season of SPN so far! I'm enjoying the creative plotlines, plus Jensen and Jared's acting just keep getting better and better.

As for Heroes, thank GOD Kring hasn't lost his mind. I hope he gets rid of Maya and Alejandro ASAP or at least gives them both a real personality, and if West just flies off into the sunset and never returns, that would be fabulous. For all I care, he can take Claire with him--her character has sadly diminished in my eyes. I hope Kring gives her personality a make-over.

took me a while to get into SPN this season but I was into Heroes from the start. I didn't mind how they intro'd the new characters...well...except for West. didn't like him AT ALL and i'm glad Kring sees that the romance aspects weren't working for Hiro and Claire.

i'm perfectly cool with peter's romance though.

in conclusion: Tim Kring is awesome.

I'm actually liking the way this SPN season is going. Do I want a little less "coda of Ruby"? Sure. Do I kinda want to know why the demons weren't so up in Sam's grille until now? Yeah, I could use a little more of that. But otherwise, I've really liked the broadening scope--in story type and in character and in setting (sun!)--and look forward to seeing the rest of the ride they take us on. Plus I'm jazzed at what feels like a natural progression into Sam's story...I can't quite explain what I mean, but I feel like I'm paying attention to Sam more without being coerced into it.

Also, I am perfectly fine with the decrease in scary. (Not so much with the uptick in gore, but I'm pretty squeamish as it is.)

I am totally loving this season of SPN.

And Tim Kring is totally my hero for saying all of that because he addressed every issue I've had with the season so far.

Except I don't mind West and I like Claire's teenage rebellion storyline

You are not the only one who loves this season of Supernatural the way it is; it has been, for the most part, pitch perfect. I love seeing all these different shades of Sam, and poor Dean is breaking my heart. And also, I've been lurking around your journal for FOREVER and think that you are made of AWESOME. That is all!
