From TV Guide ... A six-pack of actors from Heroes -- Hayden Panettiere (Claire), Kristen Bell (Elle), Nick D'Agosto (West), Stephen Tobolowsky (Bob), Sendhil Ramamurthy (Mohinder) and Jack Coleman (H.R.G.) -- has gathered on the beach in San Pedro, California, to film a confrontation scene that could en in a prophesis tragedy. Viewers have known for weeks that the clock is ticking on H.R.G. (aka Noah Bennet) -- one of Isaac's paintings shows him lying dead with a bullet hole through his famed horned-rimmed glasses -- but will Claire Bear's daddy really get wacked? "Everyone painting we've had on Heroes has come true," says the show's creator, Tim Kring. "But don't forget, sometimes the true meaning of a painting has been misinterpreted."
I really think they should rephrase how they keep saying "every painting we've had on the show has come true." No, boys, every painting you've had on the show has been shown, but thanks to Nathan, the explosion Isaac painted over and over again didn't come to fruition in real-time except in Hiro's time-traveling. When you say they've "come true," people want to argue the details. Come on, guys.
ANYWAY -- okay, that scenario up there? That makes such sense I don't know why I didn't think of it before. (Because I never get this crap until someone tells it to me. DUH.)
Yes, one of the paintings features Bennet dead with a bullethole to his eyeglasses but when we finally got a look at the other paintings, what was one of them?
Mohinder holding a gun..
Again, DUH.
I mean, we were all pretty sure that that painting of Claire (supposedly) being kissed by a shadowy figure (supposedly) was not telling the whole story (they never are, or have you not paid attention to your own storylines, NOAH? Sheesh!) and that Claire (if it is her) was just being comforted by said shadowy someone. But that makes it almost painfully obvious that Mohinder's going to shoot Bennet. What really makes that interesting is that:
a.) One option is that he's purposefully aiming for Bennet which ... *squeaks*
b.) The other option is that he's aiming for someone else and Bennet gets in the way. And since Claire's invulnerable, Bennet might be protecting someone else.
In other news, the annoying part of that spoiler is that West the creepy stalker is probably the one comforting her poor weeping self, which ... no, seriously, dude, don't touch her or we'll hit you with fish. You're on a beach, they're right there.

Date: 2007-11-12 12:55 pm (UTC)I was like "they have not come true explicitly as painted," and they were all, "Yes they have." and then we kind of batted interpretation back and forth and the explosion-destruction-of-New-York and came to the same conclusion.
Isaac's paintings come true as a visual snapshot of an instant in time, but that doesn't mean that's all the story there is.

I think the paintings are convenient red herrings most of the time, some of them are utterly misleading but Noah is being made out to be sneaky enough to escape The Company so I'm sure it'll turn out that he comes up with the way out.
That's if it doesn't turn out to be Sylar with powers mimicking him. Mohinder would shoot him, are there any shapeshifters wandering around yet?
