So, I've been trying to read this Feministing post about the new Sarah Connor Chronicles poster featuring Summer Glau (or at least part of her) in what could be taken as an antifeminist pose if it weren't for a few basic things.

The main one being: SHE'S A FUCKING CYBORG.

She's not "disembodied" -- she's being built. (I imagine she'd look a hell of a lot worse if she were torn apart by something.) Of course she's not wearing a shirt -- strangely enough, they don't actually build cyborgs with shirts on them already. Of course her hair is long enough to cover her nipples -- it's a fucking poster, and the character has to have long hair to fit into a high school setting where having super-short hair would probably get her more attention (none of it good), and it's not like she needs to have short hair to help in fights anyway. (Now the length of Sarah's hair ... that we can have a looooong discussion about.)

And I'd knock the whole putting-a-half-naked-chick-on-a-poster thing, except ... hey, guess what? Everybody in the Terminator mythos gets to be naked! Hell, at this point the only one who's made it through fully clothed is John, for crying out loud. The only reason Terminators give a shit about clothes is to fit in with humans. They don't need them, because --as I said -- they're fucking cyborgs.

Aside from the fact that the poster is fairly unoriginal and I could have sworn the whole Summer-being-a-Terminator thing was still supposed to be a secret, I have no problem with that poster.

In summation, I refuse to apologize for liking the third movie. And also, you can see Robert Patrick's cock in the second movie if you pay attention.

Ahem.
