The downside of Britney Spears losing her damn mind. Again.

E! has been having these specials on unsolved crimes and Hollywood crimes this afternoon that I've been watching, and they keep showing this "Breaking News!" blurb with Giuliana What's-Her-Face reporting that Britney's been hospitalized. They keep doing it once an hour or so, which keeps leading me to think for a moment, "Wait, did I miss something? Did she get released and have to be dragged back an hour ago? And then escape and have to be taken back AGAIN?!"

Heh. Every time there's a news story they think hyping will help with the ratings. If they have no new information on the story, they still have to break into programming every five minutes and rephrase what they said last time.

I read your post, and got the most hysterical (and pitiful) image of her breaking out, and then being hunted down and shot with tranquilizers before being dragged back to the hospital.

And at the rate things are going, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if what you said did happen.
