I'm not really a big football fan, but I watch the Superbowl every year just for the hell of it and root for the underdog because I like it when the underdog wins. So I had a good night last night on that count, at least. :)

I'm honestly more interested in the ads, and they were a pretty good set this year. The entire party agreed that our collective favorite was the Doritos one with the giant rat -- that got the biggest laugh -- and that we all hated the Salesgenie commercials the most. Racial stereotypes are okay if they're animated! Oh, funny. (Although according to the Time article on the commercials, they were intentionally trying to make the worst Superbowl ads. Which sucks even more because, really, they had to go THERE?)

Bryan and I spazzed out over the Iron Man trailer, though. And then had to explain what it all was to our mom. Heh.

Aaaaaand now we're both going to go see Cloverfield again, because I still want to try seeing the ending on the big screen.

See, during the first one everybody was talking at my party, and I was sure I couldn't have seen what I thought I had. And then I saw the panda one and ... EW. I'd rather watch the clown one over and over again, and I *hate* clowns.

Were there any worth me finding online? Sadly, we didn't get any in the broadcast over here. Also, I gave up on the game and went to bed shortly after halftime.

Well, if you have the intestinal fortitude to brave the evils of MySpace, it and Fox have put up a bunch of the ads over there. I liked the FedEx pigeons one, the Coke balloons one, the Wall-E teaser (aaaaaaawwwwww, plus it wins all points it can win for using music from Brazil!) and the trailer for whatever Adam Sandler film is coming.

I vote the two Bridgestone ads, the T-Mobile ad with Charles Barkley, and, if you can stomach him, the Bud Light ad with Will Ferrell.

I'll add the Doritos one to the list. And suggest not watching the Audi one, the Hyundai ones or the Salesgenie ones, which were all either lame (the first two) or downright offensive (the last one).

*shrug* The only ones I really remember as standing out were the screaming-wildlife dextrous-car ad, the Iron Man trailer, and TJ Thyne as a car buyer. The Sobe commercials have actually convinced me to NEVER buy LifeWater, just as the singing mutant hamster commercials did for Quiznos. The rest was mostly boring mediocrity.

Although the carrier pigeons bit was amusing. : )

I missed most of the ads... but SalesGenie? Has had radio spots since LAST WEEK saying, roughly, "We know people hated our Superbowl ads, except for REAL, MOTIVATED SELLERS who recognize that we're AWESOME."

Good to know they lived up (down?) to the hype, I guess :/

I liked the talking stain. I was pretty intoxicated when it came on so for almost the whole commercial I couldn't trust myself to decide if I was imagining the garbled language or not. Seemed funny either way, though.

I enjoyed the Bud Light fire-breathing one.

I was dreading the one from work1, but thankfully it was not as eyewatering as I'd feared, merely slightly lame and not even worth censorship.
