A standard poodle won its group yesterday. A toy poodle just won the toy group. They're both white. They're both groomed exactly the same way.

This is so stupid. Visually, it's like they're trying to do the world's laziest and most pretentious version of Grover teaching you the difference between "near" and "far."

Also, I may be bitter that I didn't get to shout, "Yay, Mr. Muggles!" if the Pomeranian had won.

EDIT: Oh, my God. Bulldog puppies in Pedigree commercial. Oh, man, I'm going to die. *flails at them*

I know, seriously. I hate poodles as it is, so two? Blech.

Mr. Muggles is the only character on Heroes who's never pissed me off.

Every time a poodle wins, I scream, "Rhapsody has two mommies!" It makes me feel better.

*chokes* God, I haven't seen that movie in so long. And now I'm not going to be able to stop thinking it when I see the poodles again. :)

My parents just started raising Newfs. No room left in the house for me.

Oh, man, that Neapolitan mastiff. If I thought I could ever handle a dog that large, that would be one I'd be all over. He's a big pile of wrinkles! *grabbyhands*

I still long for a Cavalier King Charles spaniel.

Oh, they're so gorgeous. I really liked the one they had tonight.

I want a bulldog so bad. I can't have one right now, but I soooo want one. I've wanted one since I saw that episode of Emergency Vets where one of the docs was walking around with three bulldog puppies in her arms and it was pretty much one of the most adorable things I've ever seen in my life. Awww.

I've been missing our dogs. My mom was out last weekend to pick up their new breeding male from the airport (they couldn't fly him straight home at this time of year -- too cold). I laughed helplessly when I saw him, because he was easily the biggest dog I've ever seen. We loaded him into the car and took him to visit a friend of mine with MS, who hurled herself onto the doggie and declared him hers! Hers!

And then he went home and now I have no dogs to lie in a pile with.

Heh. That sounds like when I stayed with my aunt in NC a few years back. At the time she had two dalmatians and two more she was fostering for dalmatian rescue, and sitting on the couch meant you had to wriggle into the pile and take turns petting all of them, the spoiled brats. :)

'Tis a bad year when two poodles make it in...

We watch every year, and have for- oh man, longer than I want to think. We always root for any dog but the poodles. :-P

How come it's so bad? I mean< yeah, we all cheer for our favorite breeds, but dog shows would be pretty lousy if the judge just put up his favorite breed* regardless of which one actually fit their breed standard the best, in his opinion.
Vicki is a pretty spectacular dog- and so is that standard. Poodles really seem to have uniformly excellent dogs shown, compared to some breeds.

*There ARE judges that do this- they just only seem to look at certain breeds for BIS and group wins. A lot of people outside those breeds won't show under them.

*shrugs* I just don't like poodles, mostly. I don't like how they groom them for shows, and my aunt used to have a few and I never really liked them a lot in person, either. (I mean, I didn't hate them, but still.)

So seeing two of them? Meh.
