CNN, Gawker, and the Boston Globe are all reporting on the fan irritation over Luke and Noah not kissing. The fact that it's become such a big issue that the AP's picked it up it kind of hilarious. One of those points out a quote from someone at one of the soap magazines saying that ATWT seem to be trying to have it both ways, to have a gay couple but not scare off long-term viewers with boys making out.

You know what my favorite quote is, though? This one from a viewer from the CNN article:

I've been watching soaps long enough to know that they're a teenage couple, so it's not going to happen anyway.

I'm sorry, my darling, I'm on your side in this argument, but have you ever watched soaps before? In fact, have you watched THIS soap? In fact, have you watched this couple before? Specifically, the tall brown-haired one who slept with his girlfriend last summer?

Aaaaand now I have to go eat and get dressed so that I can pack up and head down to Starbucks or Panera or something before work. Someplace with comfy chairs and chai or hot chocolate, that's all I'm saying.

...yeah, bummer about how, what, fifteen years ago? Robin Scorpio got HIV from teenage sexual activity, shortly before the boyfriend from whom she got it, ...what the hell was his name? Stone? went blind and died, and all that happened despite that soap teenagers don't do any fooling around...
