Oh, man, when you get a chance sit down and watch the whole thing from the beginning. (Just search for Christian and Olli on Youtube and look for one of the clip series with subtitles. There's a couple, I think.) It's sweet and hot and painful and realistic. I kinda want to go to New York, grab the ATWT writers, sit them down in a chair, make them watch, and say, "No, you idiots, like THAT."

In all honesty, Olli's not that bad. He's kind of a twat in that clip but seriously, Christian needs him to be a dick at this point. Christian thought Olli was into Christian's then-girlfriend until Olli kissed him, and since the kiss he's wavered between confused about his feelings and acting like a grade-A dipshit.

Of course, Olli's had his moments, too, but I mean, look at that last bit. Tell the man you love him, make love, and then turn out and be all, "Oh, thank God, I thought my brother saw us and suspected something!" *groans* Man, he's an idiot. A cute idiot, but still. :)

Just out of curiosity, are all German soaps like that? I don't mean, like, full of hot boys making out, but from what I've seen of the storyline and other storylines that interact with it, it's all really realistic. There's not a lot of babyswapping or faked deaths or green-card marriages, just people dying and losing their jobs and falling in love and you know, actual identifiable drama.

Well, ... realistic is a little far-fetched, the storylines are full of unintentional incest, backstabbing etc sometimes. And there is a fair share of baby-swapping and I distinctly remember a green-card incest marriage (long long ago tho, in another soap). But it has mellowed out a bit and they are able to handle some storylines fairly good, which of course makes me happy ^^. And Verbotene Liebe was always one of the more 'mature' soaps ^^.
