So I have the chinchilla's dust in a large plastic mixing bowl, because if I put it in the bathhouse getting them out of it afterwards is a bitch. So I put the bowl in there a while ago and Elliot (the friendly one) was sitting in there while Dexter (the anti-social one, just like his namesake, natch) was eating.

Me: "Hi, boys!" *opens cage to take one out*
Dexter: "Ack!"
Elliot: "Ack!" *grabs onto the side of the bowl, rolls just right to flip the entire bowl over and cover him*
Dexter: *bounces around the cage like a spazz*
Bowl: *trembles nervously*
Me: *can't stop laughing*

When my stepdad's cats were as-yet-unnamed kittens, one of them knocked over a garbage can onto himself in much the same way. Telling him, "You're a silly!" inspired my stepdad to name him Cil and the other cat Denine. Uracil and adenine, geddit?

Yeah, I didn't either. They're RNA partner proteins, apparently. (My stepdad is a huge geek.)
