You know what I love? How showing Saddam on international TV looking like a bedraggled, victimized Santa lookalike is already backfiring on Bush. Saddam's still a schmuck, but the best thing he can do in this situation is just be cooperative and honest about everything, and I don't doubt for a minute he knows it. I do have to give credit to Bush, though ... he managed to pull Saddam out of his ass now so that he's got a year to fuck up that karma from people who think, "What a great president! Let's re-elect him!"

And you know, when the Vatican is denouncing your treatment of Saddam Hussein, that's not a good thing.

Also, this post? Brilliant.

Hmm. I should probably not listen to Bill Maher this early in the morning.

So, yeah. Watched "Monster House" last night, hence the icon. God, I love Steve. He and the host from "While You Were Out" are my home remodeling crushes. Although, I think most of my Steve crushing comes from the fact that he doesn't put up with any bullshit. I still firmly believe that people who sign up for the "Monster House" build team and then act like complete and total fucksticks get buried in the backyard before Steve leaves. Hey, he's got quality murdering time on Saturday morning when the builders leave and the decorators arrive. Might as well.

Ooo, and my mom sent me my favorite Christmas cookie recipe, so now I can make a whole batch all for myself. Oh, jeez, am I going to be sick on maple nut logs this weekend. Huh. That didn't sound quite so weird-Japanese-porn in my head.

Also, just for fun, last night I was thinking of taking a story I was working on a while ago and redoing it. The bad part is, I've got the first 22 chapters done, but in first-person. And now I want to make it third-person. But I swore to myself I'd get a novel finished that I was going to get published, damn it, and I was going to do it by the end of the winter.

Glad you said priceless, chica. 'Cause I don't think you got enough money or mojo to make me stop! *veg*

BTW -- I thought some of those maple log thingies were going to go in the Christmas baskets?

Note your use of the word "some". Half are for the baskets, and half are for me. Because trust me, I could eat half a batch by myself, no sweat. ;)

That wouldn't be the morally righteous organization which:

1>Did not want to get rid of pedophile priests
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/08/06/eveningnews/main566978.shtml

2> Deeded the 'New' World to the European countries who gave money to the Pope

3>Incited and redirected violence to other religions

That'd be the same one, yes. ;P

I can't decide what's worse -- that the Vatican has the balls to call anyone on human rights violations with their history, or that Bush is their target. I'm highly amused simply because the entire world is apparently going insane on CNN. I like it much better when my world leaders are public in their asshattedness. *g*

I may be missing something... but why not

1> Have priests marry? After all, lots of married men don't need sex
2> Let priest have sex once a year. I mean, even birthdays come once a year!
3> Make a rule that any priest who feels the need to have sex, visit a woman of negotiable virtue. Save a kid, and plus, it 'pumps' money into the local economy!

shouldn't you add PUBLISHED as well? because I have several series in the works too however none of them are written or published.

and a note to the Nag([livejournal.com profile] qnotku), has he told you yet when his third series will be published?
