I finally got my copy of the crappy book that got me into writing.

Let's see if I throw it at a wall like I did the last time I read it. :)

But if you like it, why would you abuse it so?

Oh, I don't like it. It's terrible. It's an incredibly awful badly researched historical romance with two Mary Sues in the lead. But the first time I read it I got so pissed I threw it at a wall and said, "Hell, I can write better than that!" Aaaand that's when I started writing. ;)

Shannon O'Cork.

SHANNON O'CORK.

Oh, man, if that's what she came up with as a pen name, the rest of the book's got to be very special indeed.

... ahem. Yes. The rest of the book is, as I recall, incredibly special. Heeeee.

Holy crap I have that book! Man, I remember I couldn't get past the third chapter or so because it was so incredibly bad.

Oh, man, I started rereading it last night and it's just ... it's so fucking dreadful. Is it wrong that I'm glad it's just as wretchedly written as I thought it was?
