My hand to God, I read "Minus five points for singing "Nessum Dorma" just like Paul Potts" as "just like Pol Pot."

I wish I'd watched all that. Neal did a good job with the aria. I thought he was too nervous to make the money note, but it was his best moment. THAT is why we call them "money notes." *G*

I think he probably would have done better if they hadn't gotten him wound up by asking him about his mom beforehand and getting him all emotional, but it was probably the best performance of the night.

Oh ew, singing through tears is the worst. I'm really impressed he made it all the way through. His high note was really really solid, wow.

He really was just an absolute sweetheart, too. Listening to him talk about his mom was just heartbreaking and lovely.
