True story -- my mother once brought home groceries, including several bags of cat litter, during a thunderstorm. When she was bringing them into the house from the driveway one of the bags got soaked, so when she brought it into our mud room last, she opened it and poured the contents into a large bucket with the intentions of just scooping it into the litter box later.

Rudy, my father's cat, took one look at the bucket, hopped into it, peed, hopped out and walked off.

My mom just shrugged at me and my brother and said, "Well, I can't yell at him for that one."

Heh. One of my dogs peed on the sunday paper, on the floor by my Dad's chair while he was sorting out the ads, when she was a puppy.

My cat very nearly peed in the sand for the degus dust bath once. Which is funny cause she wont pee in sand when it's outside.

I was cleaning the litter bucket area and there was like two pinches of clean litter on the floor. Dusty went to pee on it, I got weirded out, she got weirded out because litter is for peeing and oy.

The rabbits get freaked out when I clean out the condo and as soon as they get back into it after I've cleared out the old hay and newspaper they (especially Marvin) make a special point of remarking the territory by scattering little pellets of crap around. This is not pleasing when they hop back in while I'm still in the cleaning process (say while I'm out dumping the litterbox on the compost heap), especially if I've got the coroplast flooring for the litterbox cubicle slid forward to grab the litterbox for cleaning and Marvin hops back into the litterbox's usual spot which is currently just wire grid sitting on brick and hence unsweepable...
