Oh, yes. Chuck having reason to toy with anyone is cause for celebration.
I swear, it's like Dan doesn't have a creative bone in his body, and yet he's supposed to be this great writer. And it seems he missed the memo that "Write what you know" is more about "Know what you write," unless he thinks Stephen King really lives in a gory blood-bathed Maine and all of those fantasy writers are secretly great wizards from faraway lands.
The worst thing about those examples of his writing were that I like him more than I like Jenny (not that that's saying much) and yet I can clearly see she's got design talent from what they've shown of her stuff, whereas what they've shown us of Dan's work kind of make me want him be beaten with sticks.
1) Happy belated birthday 2) I loved how at the end Dan managed to make doing the right thing all part of being a superior judgemental jackass 3) If I ever acted the way Jenny did I would not be alive today, due to my mother slapping me into the next century.
