It's awfully hard to tell urban fantasy books apart when they all use the same design template. And notice how few of those books draw any attention (or even show) the heroine's face? It's all body.
they're all the same because so much 'urban fantasy' has come to dominate the romance/softcore market with a side of bdsm thrown in for good measure.
just like all romance novels are typically the same once a genre has gotten to the point of having tropes, well, visual elements are there to sell, sell, sell! similarities means that they hope you'll get confused and buy the wrong book and not return it anyway.
