Yeah, aside from the barking noise. (Which was how I figured out where he was. I heard chinchilla barking and it wasn't Dex, soooo. :))

YAY! He made it easy. I heard chinchilla barking and since it was coming from the kitchen it definitely wasn't Dex. :)

HEEE. I never would have looked under there in a million years if I hadn't heard the barking. :)

I had heard the meowing, and still didn't find the blasted cat in the wardrobe for hours. They need beepers. Locaters *ponders getting flat cat chipped*

The night I had Otis in the apartment, he disappeared and when my dad showed up to check up on him it took us an hour and a half to find him. It would have been hilarious if we both wouldn't have been so damn frustrated towards the end.

Little bells are no use either? The ferret next door woke us each morning when he'd escaped and was running up and down under our windows ... um yeah so maybe not.

Oh, don't you feel better now?

When my friend first got his chinchilla, he had anxiety dreams about him escaping out his balcony and diving off. But it sounds like he just found a nice warm place to curl up.

The very first hamster I had used to get out of his cage and hide under the fridge. After he died, I'd lie on the floor in front of the fridge and peer underneath, trying to see if he was there. I refused to believe he was gone.

I wonder how they planned their escape. Was it like an elaborate scheme ala Prison Break? Or was it just "she's gone. Chew! Chew motherfucker! Chew through those bars!"

That's because you didn't go deep enough. Clearly, the kitty made it to Narnia.

He probably thinks the dust-bunnies are his posse!

Good luck with coming up with a cunning plan to get him out of there.

Yay on finding him.

I'm just glad the worst I've had to deal with was the time Lemur decided to take a walk about and I chased her around the kitchen with three cats in tow.

Squidge would get up in to the sofas (why we never let him have a runaround in the living room or backroom) behind the dishwasher (ditto the kitchen), under the wardrobe... chinchillas evolved to be bloody difficult to find and catch.
