Okay, first go look at that.
I CANNOT DEAL, I SWEAR TO GOD. IN A GOOD WAY.
Look, here's the thing. I get why a lot of people don't want Sam to go evil, I do. But I want him to go evil SO MUCH. For many, many, maaaany reasons. These include:
1. Sam is hot when he's evil.
2. Sam is hot when he's pissed off.
3. Sam is hot when he's using his powers.
4. Dean is hot when his heart is breaking.
5. Dean is hot when he's pissed off.
6. Dean is hot when he's kicking ass.
That's pretty much the superficial overview of a bunch of other more intellectual reasons like how much I enjoy conflict in fiction and how much I like it when creators and authors get heavily into the "go big or go home" philosophy of storytelling and a lot of other things that just ... look, I'm just dying for Sam to go evil. Waaaaant. *grabbyhands*
And okay, I'm torn, because there is a part of my brain that wants it because I want to see Dean hauling Sam back from the abyss in the end or whatever, and yet there is a LARGE part of my brain that would have absolutely no problems if the series were to end with Sam the Big Evil Cheese in Hell, cackling evilly as Dean is all dead and the world is ending and whatnot.
I am such a bad fan, I swear to God. *hangs head*

THIS. I have so many reasons beyond those why I went to see Dean vs. Sam, but those factor in.
Speaking of evil!Sam, what do you think that little glimpse of yellow-eyed Sam was at the very end there? My friends swear it's just a hold over from Dean's hallucinations, because Sam had just asked what he saw. Me, I'm reserving judgment, because I want evil!Sam so badly.

Date: 2008-10-24 09:16 pm (UTC)Plus I'm a sucker for a good redemption arc and going total darkside and having to come back for that on top of all of Sam's other issues? Dude. That is just an evil cherry on top of the evil free-for-all sundae.

Date: 2008-10-24 09:46 pm (UTC)In my head, Sam dies during the series finale and Dean is left standing, only he has to take care of Sam's kid. I swear I've got no clue how that squirmed its way into my brain, but there you have it.
There's something to be admired to the 'rock falls, everyone dies' approach, but most people just don't go for that. I guess the closest I've seen, was the Angel season 5 finale. That came with a big, fat rubber stamp saying "WE'RE FUCKED".
