I think where I'm having a problem right now is that I just don't know where it's going. I'm sure once I get past the bits where I know what comes next I'll come up with something, but until then I'm just stressing myself out. And I know everything with NaNo is all, "Plot? What plot?" but seriously, I'm all set-up and no plot as of yet. I think it'll be a lot better when my main character stops fighting zombies and talks to her kid, but for right now? Yikes.

So now it's time for a break and then I'm going to maybe pack up the laptop and the printouts of the missing stuff from The Grand Prize Winner and head down to the gas station cafe to type it all up. *sigh*

It's a lie that NaNo novels don't require a plot. Okay, some people can get by, but they're usually writing some postmodernist crap. The rest of us? We start with characters in Week 1 and go from there. Your characters are just taking a little longer to generate a plot for you. It'll come.
