... about the rumor that we might all get laid off when we go into work tonight.

It's that I worked overtime on Sunday and if I work the next two days that's a sixty hour paycheck. If I get laid off tonight it's a thirty-six hour paycheck and I can't even allowed to file for the other four hours.

Oh, okay, and also the part where I'd lose my job. Other than THAT ...

*

The other day I was driving home from somewhere and the radio DJs were talking about Twilight, and one of the DJs were describing the teens who are crazy over it and said, "And women twenty to forty years old have never even HEARD of it," and I nearly drove off the road I was laughing so hard.

Hey, a couple of male coworkers once explained earnestly to me that men were interested in thinking about two women having sex, but women weren't interested in thinking about two men having sex.

So, after I stopped laughing and picked myself up off the floor...

And good luck on not getting laid off.

Clearly some DJ has never seen the internet.

Ah generalizations.

I sometimes wonder in what world the mainstream media actually lives. Especially when they say those things and you just know there is staff on their own shows/stations that are busy fangirling over it.

huh - my 37 year old female coworker is totally ga-ga over the book. Then again, this is also a woman who thought tucking her slacks into boots made her look "hip".

I don't get the hype personally.

They announced today that all of the books are going to be made into movies. I passed this onto my co-workers at the library and we all cringed. We're never going to keep the things on the shelves now. *sighs*

I've been making the soundtrack at work for two weeks now. OMG MY FUCKING EYES. It wasn't so bad at first, but now if I never see that poster again it'll be too soon.
