-- The more I see Jenny's haircut, the more I loathe it. It looks like someone cut it with safety scissors. Remember when she had long pretty hair that looked styled and cut by a professional instead of a toddler and she didn't abuse eyeliner? Fun times.

-- I think I like Dan and Serena better as friends. Granted, I still hate her taste in guys. Ugh, Aaron.

-- Every time Eric and Chuck have a scene together, I die a little bit of squee. And also of the sudden insane urge for them to have sex, even though I adore them being all brotherly and BFFs. Frankly, I love it whenever Chuck refers to Serena and Eric as his brother and sister rather than his stepsiblings. Aw, him and his thinly veiled desperation for a real family.

-- HA, poor Dorota. I imagine there are far worse families to work for in the UES, but oh, man, Blair would drive me up a wall if I were her.

-- Oh, Nate. Chase definitely isn't the best actor in the world but he did an excellent job this episode.

-- I'm really sick of Vanessa. Even more so than I am of the Humphreys, because they occasionally do things I like. Vanessa inevitably either pisses me off (see: reading Nate's letter to Jenny) or tires me out (see: planning to eat an organic Thanksgiving and watching German art cinema alone because her family's off protesting a reservation, and probably doing all of that while getting a henna tattoo and applying moisturizer made with placentas freely donated by the newborn offspring of Vermont lesbians or whatever else the writers think NY "free spirit" hippies do for kicks). The only thing that remotely redeems most of her scenes for me is imagining how much Lacey Thornfield from The Middleman would hate her for being a poser.

-- Oh, Bart. I'm kind of hoping he finds out that Lily was in that sanitarium because she gave up Rufus's love child. I'm sorry, but Jacob from TWoP put that possibility in my head and now I can't stop believing it and wanting it to happen already.

Ha! From now on I'll try to remember that, if only so I'll do something other than roll my eyes or want to punch her every time she shows up.

Seriously, dude. I did like the thing with getting Nate, Chuck, and the FBI in the same room, but there's just so much about her that's just a depressing cliche not even fixing the bromance could make me forgive her for being an energy drain.

I feel like the producers got confused reading the novels and are trying to make Jenny look like how Vanessa was supposed to look.

Dorota's ringtone was I'm a Slave for U.

You know, I started out not liking Lily at all and yet, the more I see her, the more I like her. This kind of bothers me.

Along the same lines, I really liked both Jenny and Vanessa originally, and now I kind of hate Vanessa with a fiery passion. Jenny, though I laugh every time I see her haircut, is sometimes okay, but often - maybe young, and that's probably very good characterization.

Eric just gets more awesome as he goes along. I don't even know why.

Yeah, I'm pretty much in the same boat with Lily, Vanessa and Jenny. I think I might dislike Jenny more, though, but that's probably because you're right, they're making sure that she's behaving very young and ... well, it works, in that she's acting like a typical teenager (albeit in very different circumstances than the average teen) and I kinda loathe most teen girl characters.

Vanessa just ... ugh. The actress is doing an okay job, I guess, but they're giving her this horrible bohemian cliche bullshit to work with.

Eric's adorable. Aside from the gay and the snark, he's the most sensible one in that family and he likes Chuck (and makes Chuck behave like a big brother, which is my FAVORITE).
