So far today, I have gotten out of bed, dressed, taken a bus halfway to work, walked the rest of the way, ate donuts and soda, and tried to write fanfic. And all of this while still fucking asleep.

If this is how the military does more before eight a.m. than I do all day, that's cheating!

The military doesn't do it with as much humor as you do, so go you!

Hell, all we did before 8 AM was show up for formation (so they'd know where we're at), then do physical training, and go home to get ready for work. We'd usually have an hour and a half to get ready, and we had to be there by 9.

So, they're pretty much saying that our PT is more than most people do all day... which, considering the physical condition of a lot of people in this country, isn't complete bullshit...

LOL. Where do I sign up that unit? Our PT starts at 05:30, goes till 7:00 and I have to be at work by 0800.

pt?

pyschiatric therapy? I must say it's about time but do you think an hour and a half is enough?

Physical torture. What else would you call being forced to exercise at 0530?

at 5:30? I'd say that would be a nightmare since I'd still be fast asleep in my nice warm bed . . .

That was the 25th Infantry Division (Light), Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. I was there for my entire active-duty term (after basic training, of course).

Cool. My son-in-law just got stationed in Hawaii. I never got that lucky. I'm stuck here at Fort Lost in the Woods, Misery teaching Privates to drive trucks...much more dangerous than being in the infantry. *G*

Before 8 A.M.??? What the hell is that?

I don't even get out of bed until noon (sometimes later)

Aw, maaan ... I miss sleeping past lunch. This thing where I get up by eight in the morning is disgusting.

And now my body's taken to forcing me awake at eight a.m. on the weekends. I keep telling it I'm not a morning person, but does it listen to me? Noooooo.

That makes the post office better than the military! By 8am I've gotten up, dressed, performed morning abulitions, cooked and eaten breakfast, checked all my email, potentially replied to LJ posts, packed my lunch, gone to work, stretched and put up a couple feet of mail.

Sometimes our trucks backfire. Does that count? Besides, papercuts are far superior to guns. ;)

Them paper cuts can be pretty nasty. Specially when it's on your tongue.

*crings* I had one of those once. And on my lip. And last week, I papercut myself with, get this, a sheet of newspaper. "Ow! Where is it?
