Okay, so I've been watching CSI Miami episodes on Netflix while I write and Davis Caruso is fucking killing me. This is SO bad. I mean, okay, I know it's a horrible show, that's why I watch it, it amuses me greatly the worse it is, but, OH MAN. He's almost as hilarious as the stupid Star Trek technology in the labs.

Also, the writers on this show will apparently not be happy until they shoot every character in the head and bring them back with minor brain damage.

I think my favorite Caruso moment is the one where he blows up a truck with a rifle. Because Caruso is just that baddass--or thinks he is, anyway. I still laugh when I think about that one.

Oh, no, you know what my favorite is? The Oscar moment. ON A TV SHOW. It was that one episode where the boat exploded and killed the cop who went with Horatio to the house, and they immediately cut to Horatio standing there with manly tears welling in his rarely revealed eyes. LOOK YOU GUYS I CAN EMOTE LIKE A MOTHERFUCKER.

I think my favorite HoCaine Moment is the Brazil bit where he's up on the mountain, in front of the giant Christ statue, and pretty much pulls a whole series of Ho poses, plus a few we'd never seen before (including what looked like a sprinter's start position that would have, if he's carried through, taken him flying right off the side of the mountain.)

the minor brain damage would explain the acting. Or lack thereof.

It's sort of a metaphor for what watching the show does to the audience, I imagine. :)

'You do...if you've got something to hide'. Just..what? What? But, the body, and falling that far, and dead. What?

Aren't they the BEST? They make no fucking sense. I can't remember what the one line was that I saw before, but it was pretty much the most groanworthy opening I've ever heard out of him.

They so are. *giggles* I'm just like. 'Do they writers just pick words out of a hat and try to make up the craziest shit they can from it?'

I <3 CSI Miami, and all it's goofy little quirks. There are several drinking games out there that make everything so much more fun.

Oh, a drinking game?! I hope there's a entry to take a shot whenever Horatio talks softly to a small child. \o/

Child Whisperer Ho! I'd forgotten that was in there right from the beginning. It wasn't quite as creepy as its gotten, but it was bad enough.

You also need the game where you take a shot every time Ho helps/saves/whatevers a hispanic woman in a wispy white outfit, whether that's Yelena, Aerosol, or someone else.

*chokesplorfles* What's hilarious about this is that I just threw an episode on while I write and the last scene I saw had Yelena in a white business suit. Perfect timing. :)

My boyfriend totally lives under a rock, so I was explaining Horatio to him yesterday, completely with Justice!shades and low child molester murmur.

BTW, in case you haven't found it already, [livejournal.com profile] justiceshades is available for your mocking pleasure. I never get a chance to watch the show any more, but joined the community in case I get the odd chance to mock.

BWAHAHAHA, that's totally what that voice he does to small children is.

i didn't start watching this show (or the others) until you posted about this vid sometime ago---it's SO much more fun to see it now having seen the show, which i just described to a friend as "terrible writing, hammy acting, beautifully oversaturated photography, questionable science, and bizarre plots
tis the stuff mock is made of"

YEEEEAAAAAAAH!!!!

Being shot in the head might ened up being an improvement for Calleigh. *grump* That's one character who's gotten progressively dumber since "Cross-Juristiction" (the CSI episode that introduced CSI: Miami) and it ain't been pretty. Delko always was a bit thick...and Speedle, of course, is pretty much dead.

The vote for fatal headshot seems to go to Wolfe, though. Unfortunately all he ever got was a nail in the eyesocket.

You'll be sad to know that CSI: Sunglasses Of Justice has lately been trying to be serious. David Caruso has even been seen attempting to act.

I have this thing where I try not to knock my taste (or other people's, for that matter) in tv because I feel like, well, you just like what you like. There isn't a whole lot of rhyme or reason to it, no matter what critics have to say. But CSI Miami and Caruso are seriously THAT bad. I tend to forget about the new episodes, instead getting sucked into marathons on cable, and I just marvel at how compellingly bad it is, every time. And I love it, I LOVE it.

Nothing that gives me this much enjoyment could possibly be wrong. I'm pretty sure.

I think I saw one episode of CSI once, and I can't even tell you what show it was out of the franchise. Aside from that, I do recall the vid Warren Ellis linked to of the montage of Caruso giving his sting line and taking off the Sunglasses of Justice for the cut to the opening theme from like a bunch of episodes mashed together.
