Me: *curls up in butterfly chair with blanket and laptop*
Otis: *sits across my arms*
Me: Aw, dude, you can't sit anywhere else?
Otis: *gets up and sits with his rear on my right arm, thereby whapping in the nose every time he whips his tail around*
Me: ... that's not better, dumbass.

I sympathize, our cats were tag-teaming me today. Apparently, "I'm going to sit quietly at the computer and surf the Internet" is Cat for, "lemme claw your back, oooh, free lap, hey you're not using that keyboard are you, oooh free lap". Rinse, repeat. Cats are dicks.

This reminds me of the cat my parents used to have who, when upon jumping onto the counter in the kitchen and told to "Get down!", would immediately lie down and give whoever told him to get down these great big soulful eyes. "Okay, I'm down. Now what?"
