I didn't get any writing done yesterday because I spent most of the day so nauseated I could barely stand up. If I wasn't lying on the couch trying to sleep and failing miserably, I was in the bathroom throwing up everything that wasn't nailed down. And then I slept thirteen hours straight last night, and probably would have slept longer if it weren't for Otis's habit of waking me up at around 7:45 every morning. Ick.

Also, I continue to hate the trailer for Bride Wars with the passion of a thousand suns, and sincerely wish the networks would stop playing it already as if they're trying to make me like these two idiots who apparently never learned the definition of the word "compromise." Sheesh.

Here, have some Cracked lists. They make every day brighter.

7 Classic Disney Movies That Taught Us Terrible Lessons

I Hate that movie too! (Bride Wars) for those same reasons AND for the fact that the first time I saw the preview at the movies they initially made it seem like it was going to be a lesbian wedding movie. They REALLY played up a story about two brides and then showed them TOGETHER squeeing over rings.

It REALLY pissed me off when they did bait and switch. I may never forgive the movie for that.

I can't decide which bugs me more -- the general premise (I can't stand real Bridezillas, why would I want to watch two fictional ones?) or the clip they're showing now of Kate Hudson's character whining because she can't fit into her Vera Wang dress. If you can afford a Vera Wang dress in this economy ... oh, boo fucking hoo.

And you know, now that you mention the bait-and-switch, after what happened with Prop 8 I'm really not in the mood to see two women whose biggest problem is having to share a wedding day piss and moan and generally behave like selfish ingrates.

Yes! And the fact that they were supposedly "Best Friends" and it all goes to hell over something like that? What the hell kind of 'best friends' pull that crap?

And like they couldn't have done a MORNING and then EVENING wedding? ARGH it makes me nuts.

Anyway. Preaching to the choir here XD What a stupid movie.

Wow....

Sorry to hear you were sick. I've been having my own sickness issues ever since the new year. Totally blows.

I don't understand what is happening with that movie, though I did catch that APPARENTLY Anne Hathaway smacked the shit out of her costar, which I find funnier than sin. I don't understand why they couldn't compromise either. Makes no sense!

Also, I wanted to say AHAHAHAHA to your cracked lists. I may have to start reading those myself one day...

... thanks for the link!

Sometimes, trailers make me want to watch the upcoming movie. Other times, they make me want to actively ANTI-watch the movie. Bride Wars is one of those.

And oh, god, the Disney list is so horrimusing.

Sorry you aren't feeling well.

These Cracked lists are almost as dangerous a time-suck as TV Tropes. I keep hopping from one to another...

And... yeah. The last movie that came out that I wanted to see less than Bride Wars was Twilight. All others pale in comparison...

I keep having to explain why I'm so offended by the very idea of Bride Wars to the same friend who doesn't see how creepy and moronic Twilight is. Is there something in the water that is making women dumber and more willing to be marginalized? Thank goodness I use a water filter then!

Sorry you're sick. But at least Cracked can keep you in high spirits.

It's depressing is what it is. It's like for every good (not even great but good) movie 10 crappy or evil movies come out.

I had almost the EXACT SAME DAY on Monday. I threw up every hour even though I wasn't eating anything. Then last night I went to bed around 12, and woke up today at 12:30.

I think the bubonic plague is going around.
