Am halfway through watching Mamma Mia!
Okay, the only two reasons I'm continuing to watch this is because Amanda Seyfried is adorable (and she's got a lovely voice) and Meryl Streep is obviously having a blast and it's improving the hell out of this thing. Which really isn't awful, per se, but it's so fluffy and lightheaded it's tipping more than often into idiotic. It's harmless, though, just ... sheesh.
Oh, God, Pierce Brosnan's started singing. *wince*

Date: 2009-01-11 03:23 pm (UTC)But I can't get through Pierce Brosnon's songs without massive giggle fits. When we saw it in the theater, I turned to my sister and whispered, "That right there is the song of the Brave Little Toaster."

Date: 2009-01-11 04:11 pm (UTC)On the wiki entry there is a summary comment for reviews of Brosnan's singing. "water buffalo', 'braying donkey' and 'wounded raccoon' are some of the comments. I can't argue with any of them.
