I think I need some help.

I'm working on a rewrite of my finished novel, and the nightclub-bar-type-thingy? Yeah, I've decided its name doesn't fit. Problem is, I'm having a hard time coming up with something new. (I keep running names like the Raven and the Bronze through my head, but all it makes me want to do is go to a bar and dance provocatively with the first vampire I find.)

What would you name a nightclub if given the chance? Something slightly goth but not annoyingly so, not trendy but still cool.

You could play Evil Author(tm) and put a healthy bit of foreshadowing into it. Does the club play into the plot at all? Even if it doesn't, it's always fun for a reader to be able to reread a novel and discover new things about it. Or at least reread and be able to smack their forehead and go "I KNEW I should have seen something coming!!".

Eh, I'll probably stick with my real name, Jennifer Matarese. I'd use a pen name, but I like the karmic aspect of the fact that my real last name's been in the titles of at least two Robert Ludlum bestsellers. (That granted, I still haven't been able to force myself to read, but still.)

I think I'm going to change it to Bloodlines. Right now, it might make sense if another character owned it, but it's not Jack's bar, it's Ash's, and she can name it whatever the hell she wants.

Although, I do like the idea of Jack being the one to suggest it and Ash loving the idea. Yeah, like she needs one more reason to kick his ass later.

in the older part of Orlando, there was a building that remained empty and for lease for years upon years. it was an old bank, and carved above the door was the legend, "THE FIDELITY BUILDING."

me and my friends always thought it'd be fun to open a club there and just spraypaint "IN" in front of fidelity, thus the Infidelity Building. okay, so it requires a little explanation, but still fun, methinks.

For what it's worth, here in Dallas the Lizard Lounge is the club that does Goth nights (PTL Night and The Church, Thursday and Sunday respectively). The decor is big on the dark church look, at least on the nights that I've been in.
