Those last few minutes would have been a hell of a lot better if my CW feed wasn't constantly skipping. Jesus hopscotching fuck.

Okay, that creeped me right the hell out, you guys.

Although ... dude, seriously, what the hell?

Also, I'm starting to wonder if Dean's going to end up being the anti-Christ and Sam's going to have to stop him instead.

Heh. Good, bad, I'm just happy to have my show back. *snuggles with my boys*

Okay, I only caught the last half...but was that the MOTW's brother locked up in there with her. As in did we can sibling!cest on network TV? Or was that her weird son/brother instead? I liked what I saw, just didn't get it. o_0

That was her brother according to the kid. And I think Sam gave the impression from the diary that there was only one pregnancy so ... they were twins, I guess? Maybe? My cable was skipping like crazy because my CW affiliate sucks ass so it's possible I missed stuff.

Liked it fine - solid, tense, creepy MOTW, with overtones of mytharc and BOYS!

My problem is that I still have no freaking idea what happened to the girl. There was a sound, she disappeared, door opened, Dad was holding...something?

Then a shot where all I could see was her dead face. I mean, there is quite possibly such a thing as *too* dark when it comes to the lighting design.

Anyone care to fill in the blank?

After she got pulled out you could hear her getting stabbed. Then the dad came in holding a bloody knife. The next we see of her, she's lying in the weeds on her back dead. My old TV made it really hard to see the dark episodes, but the new TV from last year makes everything nice and clear. :)

Ah. Okay - he did pick up a butcher knife when he and Dean went back in the house to save the kid.

*nods appreciation* By the numbers, but sometimes there's a reason the formula works.

Thanks!

I stopped watching when the girl ate the rat. (Animal cruelty is one of my bulletproof squicks that upsets me to the point of tears and nightmares, so I'm pretty "FUCK YOU KRIPKE" at the moment.)

What happened at the end? What happened in terms of story-arc?

My sixteen year old has been wanting to get into the show, but she's in the same boat.

And ironically this not only is the second episode she's managed to watch - it's the second where a dog has been killed.

I'm never getting her into my fandom at this rate.

Story-arc wise, still grappling with Dean's revelation about being a "willing" torturer in hell. He's doing his typical Dean thing...seeing it in black and white and beating the crap out of himself emotionally as a result.

Happily, I liked it enough that I'm mostly able to ignore the numerous and truly heinous plot holes. *sticks fingers in ears and hums*

Oh, crap, it's starting to bother me. *hums louder*

Like how feral crazy children who've never been out of the house learned to write? That bugged me too.

And they knew how to break into a (presumably) locked car trunk, find the secret weapons cache, and managed to carry all those weapons back into the house...and they knew that guns were something which they ought to steal, even though they've presumably never seen a gun before. (And since when do the Winchesters go in completely unarmed?)

The best explanation I can come up with is that they were secretly watching tv for months or years before they killed daddy, which would explain the guns but not the writing (unless they were getting up early to watch Sesame Street before daddy woke up in the morning).

Then again, they didn't use the guns, so maybe they're just kleptos and it's a coincidence that they stole things which were important. And, um, the writing was in fact automatic writing. They're psychic and had no control over what they were writing, and it's only sheer dumb luck that the words were in any way relevant to the situation. :D

(And while I'm at it, the dog did not really die. The blood belonged to a rat; the dog sensibly ran away and went to live at Bobby's house.)

and they know how to tie good knots, and open secret compartments in Impala trunks and manage not to kill themselves with things found in said trunk??? Boggles the mind.

The human eps always scare me the most. I'm with Dean when it comes to humans - we're way worse than ghosts and demons!

I keep watching Dean's eyes, wating to see if the lighting guys are going to do something fun with the black, like hint at it, or a small flash from Sam's POV or something of the like. They don't, but I'm waiting. Waiting with my freaking fingers crossed, because I'm into demon!Dean and anti-Christ!Sam like that...

But they're really pushing something, and I wonder if it's not more than just angst. There's got to be something more to it than just angst, right? They wouldn't keep dragging it out like this if it was just angst...
