-- The owner of T-Shirt Hell commits an astoundingly epic flounce. I DECIDED AGAINST BEING A MILLIONAIRE JUST TO PISS YOU PEOPLE OFF! Or something. Heh. It almost makes me pray my bonuses and tax return come through sooner so I can pick up a couple of shirts I've been wanting, except not, because I'll bet they'll still be there on February 11.

-- Spotted everywhere, it seems: Greatest ever letter of complaint. Everybody appears to be losing it at the cookie. HEE.

-- Lost In Translation: 20 Baffling Foreign Movie Posters

-- Baby giraffe and baby sloth pictures. I can't decide who's cuter, although I'm leaning towards the baby sloth simply because it looks like it's smiling gleefully most of the time.

-- I caught part of an episode of Leverage the other day, and while I will sit down and watch it because it looked fun and I like Christian, I still can't get over the fact the blond chick is Pilot Inspektor's mom. Heh.

-- I have nowhere to go today and I still feel like crap and the weather is more than a little ridiculous out there, so the cat and I are curled up on the couch together with the electric blanket and the laptop and I'm pretty sure neither one of us are leaving for anything other than food, the bathroom, fire, or unexpected apocalypse.

-- If I get both of my bonuses AND I get to keep my tax return rather than it going towards my college loans, I'm splurging on something. Not sure what yet. Maybe I'll throw some money at redoing my spare bedroom. I keep meaning to, but I'm always so broke it's not even worth it. Eh, it probably won't happen anyway. I'm definitely not THAT lucky.

The DC area really is totally weak on snow, hehe. I'm from Boston originally and the reaction to snow around here amuses me.

That said, today I ended up working from home and all of the local schools were cancelled... but not because of snow, because of over an inch of ice on TOP of the 2" of snow we got yesterday. And ice is just NOT a good business.

I have no idea what the roads are like right now down here -- my window overlooks the street but I'm too damn lazy to get up and check, heh -- but there's probably about five or six inches of snow more than there was yesterday and we're getting precipitation that's not snow, so.

The cars certainly aren't taking their time on the roads, that's for damn sure. They've been flying past my living room window for a while now.

The main roads here are totally fine (cops actually camp out in our lot to nab all the red-light runners at the major intersection just outside) but I live at the bottom of a hill and my Metro station is a mile away at the top of the hill... none of the back roads or sidewalks were treated, I can see why the county cancelled today.

Yeah, it looks like they closed school today here, too. That's not much of a surprise, really. The school district covers the surrounding countryside, which is a lot of farms, dirt roads and side streets.

He speaks the truth. But I was still hoping the fedgov would have at least a 2-hour delay today. ::sigh:: I love this town's weather wimpiness.

I don't know what you all ended up getting, but Pittsburgh got a fair amount of ice. Our backdoor was frozen shut last night (stupid gutters) and the dog was sliding all over the place in the back yard. :( Poor baby.

And hey, I'm certainly not going to object if every school in the area wants to cancel today. Glorious sleep!

Leverage has turned out to be more enjoyable than I thought it would. Originally I was just watching it for Christian Kane, but the show has an excellent cast that works very well together, plus it's well-written. It was picked up for a full 13 episode run and you can stream all of the old episodes at the tnt website (otherwise I've been uploading them in my journal).

Yeah, I got the announcement of that flounce in my inbox not once, but twice. I just read it and went "... dude. You CREATED those t-shirts to be offensive, and now you're fapping cause people are offended? I don't understand"

It just pisses me off cause some of the t-shirts were genuinely funny

Oh my GOD, thank you for linking the complaint letter! Not only did it improve my day, but I used it to cheer up two other people. The hamster. *laughs and laughs*
