I've started that "25 things about me" meme about a dozen times and I can't come up with more than ten. And they're all things I'm pretty sure you people know anyway if you've been around this journal for more than five minutes.

So let's do the "Ask me anything (within reason, of course)" meme. I'm procrastinating and watching Top Chef and I'm in my comfort zone so ... you know, ask me stuff. :)

Well, long as you're watching Top Chef: from this season, who do you think would make food you'd find the most satisfying? Like, on a daily basis, if you had the money to hire them as a personal chef, but didn't actually demand a specific menu, just, you hired them to cook good stuff for you and let them work out what you liked.

Ooo, I think it'd have to be between Fabio and Radhika. Fabio would do the Italian stuff I like and he's got the same attitude on breakfast that I do (give me something sweet and some hot tea, damn it; then again, he'd have to get over his bacon aversion), but Radhika does those spicy Indian curry-type things I like, too.

Hmmm ... I wish I'd gotten more into the German track in college and ended up spending a semester or two over there. This was waaay before I found out that at least a quarter of my ancestors are German -- all I knew back then was that I loved the sound of the language and the country sounded like someplace I'd like to go and my professor was probably my favorite that I ever had. I really think I wouldn't have flunked out if I'd changed my major to German. It was the only class I was taking that was relaxing me rather than stressing me out.

1. Oh, my favorite is when Christian was feeling bad about Gregor finding out, and they were sitting on his bed together, and Christian was like, "He's all I've got left," and Olli was like, "Well, he's not ALL you have left," and Christian just kinda sighed and smiled and put his head on Olli's shoulders. I die every time I re-watch that.

2. First-time angry sex!

3. Dancing in the kitchen!

4. When Judith came home that one day and they were just kinda casually making out like they'd been there a while, and then when she interrupted them Olli was all touchy and Christian was just LETTING him.

1. I just kinda wanted a change, I guess. I use Troll Princess as a username pretty much everywhere and have done since I started hanging out online twelve years ago. So, you know, just for something different.

2. Panera. I can listen to music (unlike at the library), they have good food, and they're open later and longer than the cafe down the road from me that has free wi-fi. I do like that cafe a lot, though ... the food's good and it's close and the decor's cozy. But it opens at 6 am and closes at 2:30, which doesn't help when your brain doesn't start going until the afternoon.

I'm on a bit of a pop binge lately. They're the ones getting the most play on my MP3 player, although I think that may be mostly because I get more chores done with bouncy energetic stuff on my Zen. :)

4. Kate Winslet, with Anne Hathaway a close second. Kate's just gotten nominated soooo many times, and it would be really nice to see her win for once. On the other hand, it's not one of her better roles and it sucks that it's more of a win for the actress than for the performance, and if she's going to lose I think it'd be nice if Anne Hathaway took it. I haven't gotten to see the movie yet but I've heard fabulous things about her performance in it.

5. Oh, I love stuff that smells like baked goods. I usually have to resort to vanilla-scented stuff, but I once found soap that smelled like root beer that I'd love to find again, and I would KILL to find lotion that smells like pancakes. Right now, though, I have chocolate chip cookie lotion that my mom got me for Christmas.

2. I love Panera! They're expensive but the food is excellent and you can use their wi-fi for as long as you want. At other places like Starbucks you can only stay for 2 hours.

4. I really really want Kate to win, even though I haven't even seen The Reader. It's just because she's been nominated so many times and really deserves to win.
