You know what 's depressing?

1. Going back six months and a year back in your LJ and realizing just how far you're behind where you should be in finishing books.

2. Going back six months and a year back in your LJ and realizing that unless your job has gotten their act together since the last two times they gave out this bonus, which is unlikely, you'll have to wait yet another week to find out whether or not you got a bonus.

3. Feeling unwell during the winter.

4. Thinking about getting a new tattoo if I do get the bonus, then dismissing my right arm as a spot for a new tat because I'm still saving it for a sleeve of characters from the books I end up getting published.

5. Waiting for books you ordered to show up in the mail when they're taking FOREVER.

6. Seeing something really ridiculously pretty on the front page of Etsy and then realizing it's, like, $200.

7. Checking Powerball ticket numbers and remember you never win anything. And rarely if ever even get ONE number right.
