The bad news:

I'm not done with GPW yet. I wanted to be done with that chapter today so that I would be able to drink to celebrate today, and I'm not, and I'm really annoyed.

The good news:

Yeah, like I need a reason to drink on Parade Day. Heh.

Having said that, I am ridiculously close to finishing, just not close enough to finish in the twenty minutes I have before I have to leave the house. But I am close enough -- maybe five hundred more words, if that -- that I feel fine with celebrating finishing today. Although I still won't get my MP3 player today because I can't produce a finished manuscript for Jess. Hmph.

Of course, if I bring my netbook with me to Parade Day and go to Panera afterwards to sober up and finish the damn book ...

Yes, I'm seriously considering bringing my netbook with me to Parade Day. God, I'm lame. *eye roll*
