... so far, the title I'm most enthusiastic about for the new story is "Alter Ego Trip."

Which gives you some idea about how lame the rest of the ideas I've come up with are, since that one makes me simply throw my hands in the air in "meh" rather than wince in annoyance.

Meh, whatever. I seem to be writing just fine without a title so far, so. *shrugs*

Hey, they thought The Evil Dead was a lame title and they only chose it because every other title they thought of was even lamer. (One was "The Evil Dead Men and the Evil Dead Women.")

I hope either the title grows on you, or that another title grows out of the story as you write it. And that if you get a cooler title, an editor doesn't change it, like when Harlan Ellison had a title-changing editor who liked depraved titles and so Harlan tried to oblige him by writing a story called "Thrill Kill!!!" and the editor changed that to "Homicidal Maniac."
