I think it's the dog.

A quick question to those watching Harper's Island: Who do you think is the killer?
I think it's Jimmy. And somebody else, but definitely Jimmy.
I love Jimmy, but I really do think it's him, working with someone else who's from off the island or not from his known circle of friends. I think he's trying to get back at Abby -- he's just acting too sane and sweet about her coming back -- and I think his partner is somebody out of the blue, somebody who we wouldn't see coming. Right now, I'm leaning towards Cal or Chloe, although if this show really loved me, it would be Trish. Heh.
I think I would be the least impressed if it turned out to be Abby. By now, the poor-victim-with-unknown-homicidal-tendencies is such a horror-thriller cliche. Oh, and also Shane or JD, because they're SUCH homicidal neon signs it's unreal.
Oh, and as much as I love Trish and Henry -- oh, my God, how fucking hot are THOSE two together?! -- I would love it if they killed one of them off, like, in the next episode or something. They won't, but I would enjoy the HELL out of the shock of it.

Date: 2009-05-03 04:33 am (UTC)Oh, we're already up to, what, five bodies in four episodes and they've only found two. About halfway through this episode, I paused it and literally said to my screen, "Where the FUCK is the sheriff?! Going through another house holding a flashlight while all of the lights are out?" Seriously, Sheriff Jim Beaver is absolute SHITE at his job.

Date: 2009-05-03 04:37 am (UTC)Cousin Ben: They thought he was late. Plus, he never made it to the island, so it's not like they were looking for him. (Though I do wonder why they never wondered why he didn't call or something.)
Uncle Marty: They got a fake text from him saying that he was shacking up with a hottie.
Priest: Minor character so apparently we don't care about him.
Kelly: Found, set up as a suicide.
Lucy: Burnt in the pit.
Booth: Accidentally shot in the woods.
The Booth death kind of pissed me off too, because we were promised the work of the killer in every episode, and he just died by accident. Lots of deaths by serial killer I can get behind, but accidental woodland gunshot wound just seems melodramatic.
But yeah. Hasn't anyone missed any of these people yet? Jeez.

Date: 2009-05-03 04:49 am (UTC)The priest actually bothers me more than some of the others do, because Uncle Marty did say he was shacking up, and Cousin Ben supposedly never made the boat. But it's a wedding. Somebody should have noticed the priest was missing by now. It's been two episodes since he disappeared. We're talking about a townie, and one who should be heavily involved in the biggest wedding to hit the island all year. Everybody else who's died was either from off the island (meaning only those from the wedding party would know to miss them) or was found quickly (Kelly).

The Wiki page for the show has a Death Chart (sort of like the charts for competitive reality shows) for who dies in every episode, who survives, and who ends up being the killer (they're updating with the new info with each new ep that airs). Right now it's not the same as it was before the show aired. Before it aired, the color code for the chart said that for each new episode it would list who lived, who was murdered, who turned out to be the killer in the end, who killed themselves, and who died accidentally. That's why Booth's death didn't really throw me, although for all I knew back then it was all just conjecture on their part.
