For anyone participating in the Day After Tomorrow Fanfic Challenge, here's a fairly spoilerific review from AICN to help you out. It doesn't spoil character stuff or the ending (well, not much -- it's kind of common sense when you think about it), but it does give you a really good idea of what happens to the cities in the movie.

The thing that amuses me the most about the guys over on metaquotes who were harrassing _redpanda_ for the whole libel/slander confusion, was that when I first saw she used "slander" when she meant "libel," my immediate thought when someone challenged her on it was that maybe she did it on purpose so that the Green Goblin would show up at the guy's house and throttle him within an inch of his life.

What do you call that exactly, cinematic precognition? *is curious*

You know, you can submit twice for the Pairing List if you want, just as long as you don't use any of the same answers you used the first time. Hint, hint.

I want this list to attack Tokyo. That's the size I'm looking for. Hell, submit even if you won't be writing fic. Go wild. (Don't mind me, I'm bored and this is waaaaay too much fun.)

Also, a question -- I was thinking that to crank it up a notch this round, we're going to have a deadline. How's a month after the list is posted sound? (The list, by the way, should be finished by Friday at this rate. No, really.)

I just saw the video of the American being decapitated by the Iraqi extremists that's up on Ogrish.com. All I have to say is just ... ugh. And I have a strong stomach when it comes to mind, so the act itself isn't what disgusts me. ( Cut for the squeamish, a warning in somewhat graphic detail. )

Let me put it this way. The first person to so much as imply that now we have to retaliate back at the Iraqis runs the risk of a first-rate TP-issue bitch-slap. "An eye for an eye" works just fine until you realize if you keep it up, everyone in the kingdom ends up a one-eyed whiny freak.
