I can't believe I just made a Catwoman icon. Sheesh.
You realize, of course, that the worse a movie is, the better those Q&A reviews are. Which means I'm going to actually go see Catwoman in the theaters. Like, opening weekend.
Does it make it better if I buy a ticket for a movie that actually deserves the money, the go sneak into Catwoman? Jesus, I can't believe I just said that.

May. 22nd, 2004 04:35 pmSo I tried to call my brother today and got my mom on the phone, because I forgot Bryan was going to Arizona on a school trip this weekend. And she was going to her graduation today, so hey, good for her.
Anyway, the cats. Rudy died, so my parents are getting a new kitten. (It's not like they're doing it to get a replacement or anything, but it's my mom's Mother's Day present.) And yeah, it's Siamese, too -- my mom refuses to get any other kind of cat -- and it's a little boy, and it'll be ready on Wednesday for them to pick up, which means when I go home in a couple weeks, the kitten will be about ten weeks old. (He'll be so, so, sooooo teeny and I'll die of the cute. I can predict this right the hell now.)
It's the name thing that's getting to me. I said, "So, what are you going to name it?" My father, apparently, wants Chubby. (I'm sorry, but have you seen what a typical Siamese body looks like?) My mom wants Noodles. Yes, Noodles. I told her that I thought her kitten-naming gland was broken. And my suggestions were quickly killed, because I said either Homer or Kermit and they're both saying they want a name that nothing else has. Oooo-kay.
Help me out here. Right now, at their house, there's Cooper, Spencer, Jasper, Owen, Niles, and Simon. We've also had Rudy, Oliver, Logan, Duffy, Chester, Duncan, Cleo, and Forrest. Anybody got any good suggestions for cat names? I'm trying to get them to give the kitten a name that's an actual name and won't give the poor thing a complex or make visitors think my parents are on crack. (Noodles?!)

May. 22nd, 2004 09:23 pmSo I was listening the online 80s/90s radio station yesterday at work and I swear, every other song turned into one great big nostalgia 'fest. Let me put it this way ... I think I said, "Oh, my God," and bopped around like an idiot for about ten songs in a row.
In any event, it made me think of music that always made me think of high school without fail. So, just because I'm a little blocked creatively and this is what listening to nostalgic stuff will do to you, these would be the ten songs that always flash me right back to high school ...
( In which I talk about what a great big dork I was and how, in retrospect, I was probably the chick everybody thought was a closet lesbian ... )

The danger in listening to this station is that I can vividly remember when this music was popular, and now all I can think is, "WHY?!"
