For everybody who was wondering what the real answer was in I Called My Mom And My Brother Did Something Stupid, the correct answer was He got into a car accident with hundreds of dollars in damage. True, my mom could have easily found my brother drunk, but mostly she would have yelled, then taken pictures, then told everybody so as to embarrass him. The lesson there being, "Don't get drunk around my mother unless you like public humiliation." Also, he's actually pretty good at his job. He got promoted to the dairy department. He was absurdly proud of being brought inside to lug butter around.

But, yeah. Car accident. He was driving in really heavy rains, skidded off the road in the middle of nowhere, and busted his back axle. I shouldn't be amused, but my mom told me he's all pissy because he's had to drive my mother's gas-guzzling Jeep and has to pay for the gas, so ... hee. I get my amusement in the harmless misfortunes of my relatives. :)

In other news, I only have one other present I have to buy before my Christmas shopping is completely done. YAY! *happy dance* Any other shopping I do after that is basically padding. (And hey, I've got more money in my checking account than I thought I did. Woohoo! Tattoo parlor, here I come!)

HA. Along with her half of the money for my dad's iPod, my mother also sent me pictures from when I was about six or seven holding my uncle Bobby's pet Beverly. See, you don't think this is that amusing, but I really have to scan these photos if only so that you can say you've seen a tiny blond girl holding her gay uncle's baby raccoon. (Now, when I put it that way, that's amusing. ;))

EDIT: As an added bit of trivia, I'm the exact same height in those pictures that I am today. ;)
