If it makes anybody feel any better, I'm only doing this because I've been working on Logan/Veronica fic for the past two hours and I need a break. :)

Darwin's theory evolves into culture war -- All right, that's it. I'm punching the next person I hear or read using the phrase "culture war". Especially because it's always the most spastic, nonsensical conservatives I hear using it.

An article about the Desperate Housewives finale. It covers everything but my theory, damn it, but I'm starting to think not many people actually think about it until I or somebody else who believes it brings it up in conversation. Oh, well. ;)

200 Dead Cats Found In Woman's Home -- EWWWWW.

An article about Sin City showing at Cannes -- It pretty much confirms a Sin City 2 based on "A Dame To Kill For", which will make half of ye olde friends list squeal and the other half groan.

Representatives of the nation's top psychiatric group approved a statement Sunday urging legal recognition of gay marriage. If approved by the association's directors in July, the measure would make the American Psychiatric Association the first major medical group to take such a stance. -- You tell 'em, guys. :)

Okay, off to finish that Logan/Veronica story, if I can. *toddles off to write*

And you know, for the record, I haven't seen Revenge of the Sith yet, I don't really feel like seeing right now, and at this rate, I probably won't even see it in the theaters. I just figured I should say that eventually. (Although if I do see it, I can already sense a Q&A review in the making. But then again, that's George Lucas for you.)

Hee. :)

Because I don't write enough fic, apparently:

Leaving Me Here On My Own, Veronica Mars, Veronica/Logan, R

I am not thinking about writing a Veronica Mars story where Veronica wakes up one day and it's the day of Lilly's murder and she tries to stop it. Because that would be wrong, see.

You know, on a related note to my earlier post, I'm not allowed to write a story about how Duncan and Logan meet in kindergarten. Because that would be wrong, too.

Incredibly cute. But still, very, very wrong.

When I was at the bus stop tonight, there was a little boy who couldn't have been more than seven years old with long curly blond hair down to his waist scaling the lampposts like a monkey. Now, that was cool.

Then I got on the bus and this skeevy 50-year-old guy kept hassling me for my phone number. That? Yeah, not so cool.

And if they could just lay off advertising whatever stupid interview Tom Cruise is doing in the next twenty-four hours to flail about how much he loves Katie Holmes (no, really!), I'd appreciate it. Why don't they just peel away all pretense and put up a great big emergency message on the television screen every once in a while saying, "Attention! Tom Cruise is still a heterosexual! I repeat, Tom Cruise is still a heterosexual! If Tom Cruise had not been a heterosexual, you would have been given directions to the nearest emergency center! Thank you!"

Again, for the record, it's immensely difficult to make these copies when I have to keep stopping for the makeout scenes. I'm just sayin'. ;)

Anyway, Apple Trailers just spewed out a whole bunch of new movie trailers, so without further ado:

The Chronicles of Narnia -- Now, that is a gorgeous teaser trailer. :)

Howl's Moving Castle -- Yay! I'm not big on anime, but I adore Miyazaki.

Flightplan -- Okay, so it's Jodie Foster, and so it's The Forgotten on an airplane, but look, Sean Bean is the pilot!

Hustle and Flow -- I'm not a big fan of making-your-way-up-in-the-music-world movies, but this one doesn't look all that bad.

The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl in 3-D -- I fear for the future of children's entertainment sometimes. I really, really do. *headsmack*

The Dukes of Hazzard -- Just in case anybody missed it the last time.

Bomb the System -- A movie about graffiti. Greaaaaaaat.

Brothers -- Okay, now that one looks kind of interesting.

Up For Grabs -- See, these are the kinds of sports fans that terrify me. And also entertain me, so ... hee. :)

EDIT: Well, this is an interesting, paranoia-filled article about the Desperate Housewives finale. Spoilers a-plenty, obviously, but if you've seen the finale ... damn, but it makes a LOT of good points.
