EDIT: I just called my mom to ask about the kitten (who's apparently great but a little bit of a spaz and prone to diving into the litter box like it's a swimming pool), and she told me she and my father are still trying to buy Psycho Neighbor's dump of a house next door. For those of you who remember the kind of shit Psycho Neighbor used to pull before he died, I can't wait for them to buy that place and tear it the fuck down.

AICN has a set report from the Poseidon Adventure remake, which now has another notch in the win column in the "Which is a better Poseidon Adventure remake?" game. Not only does this movie have Kurt Russell, but it also has a character named Jennifer. It's a remake of my favorite movie, except this time they put me in it and made me look like Emmy Rossum! *flails* Shut up and let me dream, damn it. ;P

Then again, the other Poseidon Adventure remake from Hallmark has in its win column that it's closer to the book, it has Jayne Cobb on a flipped-over boat saving people AND shooting terrorists Adam Baldwin and Steve Guttenberg, and it's airing November 20th instead of ending up in theaters next year.

Did I mention I'm letting myself buy this this weekend?

I need help. And maybe to watch it again when I go home. Sheesh.

EDIT: And in today's "Yeah, no shit, genius" news, a survey says poor movies are to blame for the crappy box office. Did you notice how they keep analyzing it like they can't quite believe moviegoers think this year has been one great cinematic lemonfest?
